Cambridge 52 - 38 Oxford
Over the weekend of the 28th/29th April, Cambridge took on Oxford in the 2007 Varsity pool match at Cambridge Snooker Centre. Having ended Oxford's 6-year winning streak the year before, Cambridge confirmed their dominance with a solid 52-38 defence of their title. This was the first time in 20 years, and possibly more (the records have been lost), that Cambridge have successfully retained the Varsity title. Hopefully these back-to-back victories signal the start of an era of Cambridge dominance in the sport, but only time will tell!
